The U. S. dollar issued between 1921 and 1935 was a commemorative Peace coin, issued without congressional sanction. In December of 1921 over 1 million coins were struck and this "new" Peace Dollar was entered into circulation on January 3, 1922.

This is the first U.S. coin issued to celebrate peace, specifically the end of the Great War, or as we know it today, WWI. Minting ended during the Great Depression, when demand for large coins ceased.

Now you can own this gold-plated version of this historic coin. Remember, I do not buy and sell. When these coins are gone, they are gone forever.

I apologize for the dull look/finish given by the scans taken of my coins, but I want everyone to see the detail and condition as it truly is. So, I've taken photos as well as scan to show the luster and shine this coin has.
