The 1984 Prestige Set contains a Proof half dollar, quarter, dime, nickel and one cent as well as a 1984 Olympic Silver Dollar.This is the second year the United States Mint offered a Prestige Set, a package designed especially for the Olympic Coin Program.

The striking sculptural design of Robert Graham for the Gateway to the Olympic Coliseum in Los Angeles is featured on the obverse of the Olympic Silver Dollar Coin. The Olympic dollar, which is composed of 90% silver and 10% copper, contains .77 troy ounces of silver.

All six coins were multiply struck at the San Francisco mint using specially prepared dies and blanks to produce magnificent detail, and they all bear the "S" mintmark. The frosted relief design and the high luster of the backgound result in jewel-like coins of true beauty. The coins are encapsulated in a clear plastic two-sided personal display album that permit the coins to be visible from both obverse and reverse sides.

The outside album cover is a brown color genuine leather and is embossed with a pewter design heraldic eagle emblem. The inside covers are white silk. The front inside cover is embossed in silver with the Olympic Design with the words United States Mint. The rear inside cover is embossed with the words 1984 Prestige Set. The presentation case is protected by a brown cardboard box. This original packaging and the Certificates of Authenticity are all in mint pristine condition. There is a small ink stain (located lower left in photo) which appears to be the same color as the leather case.

These Prestige Proof Sets are No Longer Available... first issued in 1983 with the Olympic Coins Set, these were produced in limited quantities, ending in 1997 with the issuance of the Botanical Gardens Coins Set.
