This coin can be found in the 2007 STANDARD CATALOG OF WORLD COINS 34^th EDITION catalog by Chester L Krause and Clifford Mishler.

      The first of the mini-dollars was introduced in 1979 and was intended to honor Susan B. Anthony, the famed women's suffrage campaigner. The Susan B Anthony dollar is a United States coin minted from 1979 to 1981, and again in 1999. It is the first time a famous woman (other than a model) appeared on a circulating United States of America coin.

      Although it is a round coin, it has an 11-sided rim bordering the edge of both sides. It quickly fell from favor due to vending machine manufacturers protesting this plan, claiming that available vending machine technology could only accommodate round coins without extensive (and expensive) retooling. Further complications arose because of it's similar size to a quarter making it very easy to mistake the two.
