This 1978 Seventy Five Balboa Gold Coin was issued in a special cachet and is certified First Day of Minting Proof struck on November 3,1978. It is the first, and from what we have learned, only 75 Balboa ever produced, making this a truly rare coin. It contains 10.6 grams of .500 fine gold and was minted with a full Proof finish in strictly limited edition by The Franklin Mint.
